Kobi

Husky · Male · Adult · 6 years

Kobi is a lovely calm dog, and he very much takes life as it comes. He really enjoys long walks, and is happy to travel in the car, so would love days out for sniffs and strolls. He does have a very high prey drive, so can be very strong on lead if he spots a deer or a squirrel, so adopters should be confident with managing this. He cannot live with cats. He's happy to walk alongside other dogs and enjoys meeting new people - always waggy and happy to say hello. He doesnt have a great appetite and can be quite picky with eating, so his new family will need to be patient with this. He will happily chill out for much of the day and relax in the home, but he doesn't like to be left alone, and this will need to be built very slowly once he's in his new home. He is on ongoing mild pain relief for his joints, which doesn't hold him back in any way, and this will be discussed in full with any potential adopters. Kobi is a lovely, affectionate, gentle boy. He enjoys meeting dogs out on walks, and he could share his home with another dog. He is fine to live with older primary school aged children. He would love his own garden to run around in, and also loves long walks with the foster carer he is currently staying with. He loves going out in the car, and travels well. He needs adopters around all of the time initially, as he doesnt like to be left alone, and can become vocal.

About Kobi

What life with Kobi looks like

Kobi is a adult husky dog waiting at Dogs Trust Snetterton in Snetterton.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kobi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kobi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Snetterton handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kobi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kobi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Snetterton will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kobi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kobi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Snetterton early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kobi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
