Koron

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

Koron, a lovely Koron, arrived at the shelter on 26.8.2026, along with Rikardo, as an abandoned dog. The reasons for this are unknown. However, they were brought to the shelter and not abandoned or given to a killing station. Both dogs were neither chipped, nor neutered, nor had they received any vaccinations. This will now be done step by step. Koron hopes to be able to buy his ticket to his new family soon, leave his life in the kennel behind, and spend the approaching winter not outside, but in the warm room. Our fingers are crossed. Koron and Rikardo do not have to be placed together. Koron is a fine fellow. Lovely, friendly, open, nice, agile, just a great four-legged friend who makes a lot of fun and, like all dogs, is in the wrong place at the shelter. Koron enjoys every caress and human affection, absorbs them like a sponge and would like to have more of it. He needs a lot of love and closeness. Walking on a leash is already quite good, but it is still worth improving. Koron still needs to sit in the school bench, because even for a small dog the same rules apply as for his big friends. But it will definitely be a lot of fun to learn and practice with him, because he wants to please, learn and just be with his people. He wants to be treated like a dog and go on an adventure with his two-legged ones. He would be the ideal companion for everything where four and two-leggers spend time together and have fun. With his fellow dogs he gets along well and is currently (23.9.2026) integrated into a mixed pack. We wish our dearest Koron loving and dog-enthusiastic people who will go through thick and thin with him. Koron wants to be loved, cared for, challenged and promoted and enjoy his new life happy, loved and carefree. Strolling through forests and meadows with his people and being pampered with many caresses and cuddle hours, that's Koron's taste. In return, he brings a lot of love and joy into his new home. Who can Koron arrive at and find his happiness? Koron had a skin inflammation when he arrived at the shelter, it gets better every week. (Stand 23.9.2026) Koron can travel from around mid-October 2026 if he has found a home or a foster home.

Dies wird nun Step by Step nachgeholt.

About Koron

What life with Koron looks like

Koron is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Koron, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Koron?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Koron on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Koron if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Koron already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Koron isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Koron and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
