Korona

Female · Adult · 4 years

Korona – a quiet lady with past experiences, who deserves peace. Korona is about 3 years old, a beautiful tabby cat who came to our animal shelter after a traffic accident. Fortunately, the X-rays did not show any fractures - she came out of it unharmed, although the experience certainly left a mark on her cat's heart. At first, Korona approaches people cautiously - she observes, hesitates, checks if she can trust. But when she feels safe, she gradually relaxes and enjoys petting with clear pleasure. Most often you can find her in the kennel, under the bedding - it's her safe corner where she feels best. Korona is a large cat with an exceptionally soft, fluffy coat - petting her is a pure pleasure for both her and the caregiver. We are looking for a quiet home for Korona, which will allow her to recover at her own pace. Over time, she will become a loyal, quiet companion who values warmth, silence and delicacy the most. Give Korona a chance for a safe and loving place for a new beginning. The cat is available for adoption after a prior conversation with the veterinarian at the animal shelter. Before adoption, we recommend reviewing the pre-adoption questionnaire and coming to the animal shelter with the completed form: Note: If you decide to adopt a cat or are considering it, be sure to bring a carrier or transport bag to the animal shelter for transporting cats. Before adoption, make sure your home/apartment is safe and properly prepared to welcome a new family member. Remember to secure the windows and balcony.

Pamiętaj, żeby zabezpieczyć okna i balkon. About Korona

What life with Korona looks like

Korona is a small adult cat waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

Note from the shelter: Traffic accident survivor, needs quiet environment and patient approach

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Korona, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Korona?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Korona on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Korona if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Korona already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Korona isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Korona and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
