adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Kral has found his people! His story: Kral is a charming young male dog with a friendly gaze and a small white spot on his nose. His black-brown fur and his lively eyes reflect his spirited and joyful nature. In October 2023, Kral was allowed to travel to his own home as a puppy. But life can be unpredictable, and due to changing circumstances, this handsome young male dog now seeks a new loving home. His name means "King," and we wish very much that the handsome fellow will be the king of hearts in his new family, loved, nurtured, and treated with respect. Snuggling with his primary caregiver is his great passion; he could be stroked, combed, and petted for hours. Kral is an energetic, active young male dog who loves long walks in nature. His highlight is a bath in a lake or river. He walks well on a leash, is incredibly trainable, and knows the basic commands. At first, he can be a bit cautious of strangers and needs time to build trust. Toward other dogs, he is curious, sometimes also a bit cautious, but after a short get-to-know-you phase, he is very friendly and looks forward to play and walks together. In his current home, he lives with a tomcat and older children, where he sometimes reacts protectively. Kral is looking for loving, empathetic, and dog-experienced people who can give him the time and empathy to settle into his new life. Positive working dog training classes and a loving, consistent upbringing would be ideal to support his development. As he is both mentally and physically stimulated, a rural home would be perfect for him. Originally from Baia Mare, Romania, Kral was found as a puppy with his three sisters, Khaleesi, Corry, and Freckle, and was brought to safety there. Kral is microchipped, vaccinated, and brings his EU pet passport. Do you give the young handsome male dog a second chance? Many thanks to the namingsponsor Monja I., who gave Kral his royal name and thus a unique identity. Status: 03.05.

Stand: 03.05.2025

About Kral

What life with Kral looks like

Kral is a large young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kral, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kral?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kral on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kral if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kral already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kral isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kral and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
