Kropka

Female · Senior · 11 years

Kropka is a beautiful tri-colored senior who dreams of a peaceful home and a person where she can feel safe. She is a delicate and gentle kitty who values peace and a life at her own pace. Kicia enjoys being petted and having a human’s presence, though she’s not always in the mood to be the center of attention. She feels best when she can decide when to come for a little bit of affection and when to rest in her favorite spot. She especially enjoys soft blankets, where she happily spends her time. Kropka is 11 years old and a cat with special needs. She underwent surgery related to a uterine tumor, and her hyperthyroidism and cardiomyopathy are currently stabilized. Kicia takes two daily medications, so we are looking for responsible guardians who will ensure her comfort and continued treatment. This lovely lady most needs peace, care, and a predictable daily routine. In the right home, she will surely repay her presence and trust, built step by step at her own pace. We are searching for Kicia a loving forever home where she can enjoy a peaceful life, soft blankets, and the closeness of people who will love her as she is. In her new home, she will find herself as a single kitten. We invite you to fill out the pre-adoption questionnaire and come to the animal shelter with it already completed: Before adopting a cat, make sure your home/apartment is safe and properly prepared to welcome a new family member. Note: When deciding to adopt a cat or considering it, please bring a cat carrier or transport bag to the animal shelter.

About Kropka

What life with Kropka looks like

Kropka is a small senior cat waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

Note from the shelter: Requires patient owner and quiet environment to build trust

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kropka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kropka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kropka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kropka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kropka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kropka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kropka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
