Kruimel is een kater gecastreerd van 5 jaar oud. Hij is opgegroeid bij mensen thuis maar daarna langere tijd op straat rondgezworven waar hij diverse adresjes had waar hij te eten kreeg. Door zijn zwerfperiode is hij wat afstandelijk naar mensen toe geworden en dat vertrouwen moest weer opnieuw opgebouwd worden. Kruimel is een grote en stoer ogende kater maar hij heeft maar een klein hartje. Hij wil graag kroelen maar vindt het tegelijkertijd ook nog spannend waardoor hij best nog wel eens een klap kan uitdelen om vervolgens weer te willen komen kroelen. Kruimel is gek op eten waarmee je wel snel vrienden met hem kan maken. Met andere katten is hij wisselend. Bij kleine kinderen plaatsen we hem niet, oudere kinderen kan wel als ze hem de tijd geven om zelf te komen omdat hij anders snel onzeker wordt en kan uithalen. Als hij eenmaal goed gewend is wil hij wel graag naar buiten toe kunnen in een rustige omgeving. Een plekje op een boerderij of stal zou ook prima voor hem zijn mits hij wel naar binnen toe mag en gevoerd wordt. Een plekje op de bank of bij de kachel kan hij ook erg waarderen.
