Kuki

Female · Adult · 4 years

If you are interested in our dear Kuki, please send us your completed application form. Our dogs, including Kuki, usually come directly from Turkey to their families. What we know about Kuki: Kuki, born around 2023, is a very special female dog: quiet, gentle, and with an incredibly loving nature. She was simply "parked in between" and was supposed to stay only 15 days, but as often in animal shelters, she stayed back. Now she waits to finally be seen – by her own people. With her rough, scruffy fur and her charming "moustache," Kuki resembles a terrier or schnauzer mix – and just like that, she brings a beautiful mix of sensitivity and independence. Kuki is a rather quiet, reserved female dog who shows herself unobtrusively in everyday life. She enjoys the company of humans without pushing herself on them and brings a pleasant calmness. With other dogs, she is absolutely compatible and shows herself to be social and uncomplicated in the pack. Kuki does not really want to live under the same roof with a cat. A further dignified fellow animal would be no problem for her. This is what we wish for Kuki: • a quiet, loving home • preferably with an existing dog • no cats • people with patience and understanding If you give Kuki a chance, you will have a very special female dog by your side. Nice to know: Kuki is not a dog who draws attention by barking – but it is often these dogs who become the most loyal companions. About Kuki

What life with Kuki looks like

Kuki is a medium-sized adult dog waiting at Care-4-life e.V. in Stuttgart.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kuki, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kuki?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Care-4-life e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kuki on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kuki if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Care-4-life e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kuki already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kuki isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Care-4-life e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kuki and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
