Kukki

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 5 months

Kukki is a small female dog whose start in life was far from beautiful. She and her siblings were simply left in a bag and left to their fate. Fortunately, the little ones were found and brought to safety in time. Unfortunately, the puppies then also fell ill with parvo and had to fight for their lives in the clinic. One of Kukki's brothers unfortunately did not survive. Kukki has since recovered and is being further cared for. She hopes that her real story will begin - the story of a beloved family dog. Despite this sad start, Kukki has retained her carefree and cheerful nature. She is curious, loving and extremely affectionate. She approaches people openly and interested, seeks their proximity and enjoys the attention and affection very much. The little mouse has not shown fears or uncertainties so far. She appears balanced and discovers her surroundings with the curiosity typical of a puppy. Kukki gets along well with other dogs and shows herself to be social and uncomplicated in dealing with her fellow dogs. Whether she can also live with cats has not yet been tested. Due to her young age, however, she brings the best prerequisites with her to get used to everything in a gentle integration. Of course, Kukki is still at the beginning of her life and must first learn the ABC of dogs from scratch. Housebreaking, relaxed walking on a leash, staying alone and the most important basic commands will be new to her at first. Her future humans should therefore bring patience, time and joy to show her lovingly and consistently how life in a family works. We wish Kukki people who want to discover the world with her. Beautiful walks, exciting excursions, extensive cuddle hours and many shared experiences should be part of her daily life in the future. Above all, we wish her a home where she can feel safe and secure and grow into a happy and self-confident dog. Kukki is age-appropriately vaccinated, chipped and has an EU pet passport when she leaves. She will be placed in her new home after a positive preliminary check, with a protection contract and against payment of a deposit. Who would like to show Kukki that a difficult start does not decide how beautiful the rest of life can be? She is waiting in Romania to get to know her people for life and finally find her very own home. Thank you Petra M. for giving the little mouse her name. Status: 24.09.2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Kukki

What life with Kukki looks like

Kukki is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kukki, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kukki?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kukki on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kukki if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kukki already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kukki isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kukki and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
