Adopt Kumsal

Golden Retriever · Female · Young · 1 year

If you're interested in our dear Kumsal, please send us your completed application form. Our dogs, including Kumsal, usually come directly from Turkey to their families. What we know about Kumsal: This slender princess, born in the autumn of 2024, captivates with her gentle nature and her sandy, shaggy fur. Excitedly, she greets us at the fence, proudly showing us the mud puddle through which she and her setter friends have romped. But when it's her turn to be portrayed, she steps back a little. Podium, leash, and camera? No, thank you. Shyly, she retreats to the corner, but after a short warm-up, she shows her friendly smile again. Most of the day, she frolics lightly in the enclosure, spreading joy. Social, playful, and eager to learn, her life on the dog farm feels a bit confining. She needs new experiences, a visit to dog training classes, a loving home with lots of affection. Of medium size, she is certainly happy to join all outings. She still needs to learn leash manners, but then she'll be ready for new adventures. We're still practicing photography. Next time, we might skip the mud puddle bath, then we'll take Princess Kumsal out in full glory. Nice to know: Kumsal is a very loving young female dog who might be a little shy in unfamiliar situations. If you're interested in our dear Kumsal, please send us your completed application form:

About Kumsal

What life with Kumsal looks like

Kumsal is a medium-sized young adult golden retriever dog waiting at Care-4-life e.V. in Stuttgart.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kumsal, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kumsal?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Care-4-life e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kumsal on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kumsal if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Care-4-life e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kumsal already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kumsal isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Care-4-life e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kumsal and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
