Adopt Kuvik család Zsandár

Kuvasz · Male · Adult · 7 years

The two Kuvasz-type brother dogs came into our care along with their father. Zsandár and Elemér are male dogs of Kuvasz type, born in May 2019. We also assume that the lack of upbringing may have caused them to be unsocialized, distrustful, and unfamiliar with walking on a leash. Zsandár and his brother can bring a lot of joy and happiness to their beloved owner. Considering their size, we are looking for potential owners who are not looking for a garden decoration or guard duty, but rather wish to actively engage with their future family member and live together with their beloved owners. We hope that someone will come who gives them everything they may have missed so far: a proper, secure home and love as a dog and family member deserves. We are looking for an owner who is knowledgeable about the breed and has experience with dogs, who is able to keep and manage such an active, energetic dog. We recommend that they be kept as the only dog. Dog school is definitely recommended. Zsandár is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered and would like to move to a new, permanent family.

A két kuvasz jellegű testvér pár apjukkal együtt leadottként kerültek gondozásunkba. About Kuvik család Zsandár

What life with Kuvik család Zsandár looks like

Kuvik család Zsandár is a small adult kuvasz dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Unsocialized, distrustful, does not know leash walking - requires extensive training and rehabilitation

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kuvik család Zsandár, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kuvik család Zsandár?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kuvik család Zsandár on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kuvik család Zsandár if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kuvik család Zsandár already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kuvik család Zsandár isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kuvik család Zsandár and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
