Kyra is a 9-year-old American Bully (pocket) female who unfortunately found herself back at the animal shelter after the passing of her owner. She spent years in her own familiar place and now has to get used to a new environment and new people. Kyra has a little backpack and you can tell. She is initially reserved and needs time to get to know people. When she doesn't feel comfortable, she can be a bit nippy, so it's important to respect her boundaries. But give her that time and she will grow to be an incredibly affectionate and sweet dog who can greatly enjoy attention and cuddles. Due to her build, Kyra has some physical limitations. Long or intense walks are not for her, but she enjoys short, calm walks. On walks, she actually does quite well: she walks nicely on a leash and can ignore distractions from a distance. When something gets too close, she can react, so supervision is still important. For Kyra, we are looking for an experienced and calm home without children, where she can be given the time to build trust and be properly guided. She is friendly, can be left alone for a few hours, and does not need a lot of exercise, but does need understanding and stability. Will you give this special lady another warm home?. Kyra is een Amerikaanse Bully Pocket teefje van 9 jaar oud die helaas opnieuw in het asiel terechtkwam na het overlijden van haar baasje. Na jarenlang haar vertrouwde plek te hebben gehad, moet ze nu opnieuw wennen aan een nieuwe omgeving, nieuwe mensen en een leven dat plots helemaal veranderd is. Kyra is een oudere dame met een rugzakje. In het begin is ze terughoudend en heeft ze tijd nodig om mensen te leren kennen. Wanneer ze zich onzeker voelt of haar grenzen niet gerespecteerd worden, kan ze durven happen. Daarom is het belangrijk dat haar toekomstige baasjes haar tempo volgen en haar de ruimte geven die ze nodig heeft. Maar wie Kyra die tijd geeft, krijgt er zoveel moois voor terug. Bij mensen waar ze zich goed bij voelt, geniet ze enorm van aandacht, nabijheid en knuffels. Dan laat ze zien wat voor een lieve, aanhankelijke en zachte hond ze eigenlijk is. Door haar bouw heeft Kyra enkele fysieke beperkingen. Lange of intensieve wandelingen zijn niet meer aan haar besteed, maar korte, rustige wandelingen vindt ze wel fijn. Op wandeling doet ze het goed: ze loopt netjes mee aan de lijn en kan prikkels op afstand prima negeren. Wanneer iets te dichtbij komt, kan ze wel reageren, dus rustige begeleiding blijft belangrijk. Voor Kyra zoeken we een ervaren, warme en rustige thuis zonder kinderen. Een plek waar ze niet overvraagd wordt, waar men haar begrijpt en waar ze gewoon mag genieten van haar oude dag. Ze is zindelijk, kan enkele uren alleen blijven en heeft geen nood aan veel beweging, maar des te meer aan begrip, stabiliteit en liefde. Kyra verdient het om haar laatste jaren niet in een kennel door te brengen, maar in een warme mand bij mensen die haar zien zoals ze is: een bijzondere oudere dame die, eens ze vertrouwen heeft, ontzettend veel liefde te geven heeft.
