Łąka

Mixed Breed · Female

Does a dog without a paw have a chance at a home? My name is Łąka. It was supposed to be beautiful - I was going to have surgery on my paw to restore my ability to walk normally. Unfortunately, reality turned out to be different. My injury was too old and nothing could be done. However, I don't let on that I'm disabled in any way. I really like people and I'm great at finding my place at home. In the temporary home, I live with Kot, with whom I sometimes fall asleep together on the couch. I can maintain cleanliness without any problems and I can also stay alone at home. However, long walks are not for me. First of all, because of my paw, and secondly - I much prefer to rest. I'm a very delicate dog. I'm afraid of loud noises, and car rides are not my favorite activity, although I endure them with dignity. I'm curious about the world and I like to explore the apartment and the garden. I'm about 1.5 years old and weigh 7 kg. I will be spayed before adoption. Maybe you'll find your home with me?

Mam około 1,5 roku i ważę 7 kg. Przed adopcją zostanę wykastrowana. Może właśnie u Ciebie znajdę swój dom?

About Łąka

What life with Łąka looks like

Łąka is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at GRUPA RATUJ Wrocław in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Łąka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Łąka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. GRUPA RATUJ Wrocław handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Łąka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Łąka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — GRUPA RATUJ Wrocław will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Łąka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Łąka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with GRUPA RATUJ Wrocław early rather than rehoming privately; they know Łąka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
