I'm Lani and I'll tell you, I've had enough of living on the streets – but let me start from the beginning. Like many cats in Croatia, I was born as a kitten on the street and then fortunately found a feeding station – my nose led me there, because wet food is exactly my thing! A wonderful woman has been coming every day since then to feed me and the other cats. That was great! At some point she locked me up in a cage and brought me to this house with tiles and people in white clothes. I must have slept for quite a while there. When I woke up, I was still a bit dizzy, but everything was like usual. And hurray, I was allowed back to my feeding station. The nice woman often says to me: "Oh Lani, you're so great – I hope you find a loving home!". Ok, I know I'm great. But such a "home" and what she tells me about it sounds like a dream! Sometimes I see other cats who have a warm cuddle bed in a house and don't ever have to fight for food with other cats, because you must know not all cats here are always nice and friendly. When the nice woman feeds the other cats in the cat house – some cats are injured and are not allowed outside or are in the cat house because they found a family in Germany – then I sprint like a cheetah to be able to chill indoors and sleep without worries. What do I want to tell you with this? I wish for my own home with scratching trees, a bed, my own food bowl and maybe even a sofa where I can lie down. In return, I can offer loud purring, cuddling and extraordinary stunts during playtime! Without a cat friend, I don't want to live anymore. A cool socks would be optimal. Also a secured balcony or maybe even a garden would be great, but it is not a requirement. It was told to me that my teeth still need to be removed because my gums are always inflamed – but then I am ready to start my new life. Ich bin Lani und ich sag’s euch, ich hab’s satt hier auf der Straße zu leben – aber erst mal alles von Anfang an. Wie so viele Katzen in Kroatien wurde ich als Kitten auf der Straße geboren und habe dann glücklicherweise eine Futterstelle gefunden – dort hat mich meine Nase hingeführt, leckeres Nassfutter ist nämlich genau mein Ding! Eine wunderbare Frau kam seitdem jeden Tag und versorgte mich und die anderen Katzen. Das war toll! Irgendwann hat sie mich dann in einen Käfig gesperrt und in so ein Haus mit Fliesen und Menschen in weiß gebracht. Dort hab ich wohl ziemlich lang geschlafen. Als ich wach geworden bin, war ich noch bisschen taumelig, aber eigentlich war alles wie immer. Und juhuuu ich durfte wieder an meine Futterstelle zurück. Die liebe Frau sagt oft zu mir: „Ach Lani, du bist so toll – ich hoffe, du findest mal ein liebevolles Zuhause!“. Ok, ich weiß, dass ich toll bin. Aber so ein „Zuhause“ und was sie mir darüber erzählt hat, das klingt schon traumhaft! Manchmal sehe ich andere Katzen, die ein warmes Kuschelbett in einem Haus haben und die sich niemals um Futter mit anderen Katzen streiten müssen, denn ihr müsst wissen, nicht alle Katzen hier sind immer nett und freundlich. Wenn die nette Frau die anderen Katzen im Katzenhaus füttert – manche Katzen sind nämlich verletzt und dürfen nicht raus oder sind im Katzenhaus weil sie eine Familie in Deutschland gefunden haben – dann sprinte ich wie ein Gepard hinterher, um auch mal Indoor chillen zu können und ganz ohne Sorgen zu schlummern. Was will ich euch damit eigentlich sagen? Ich wünsche mir ein eigenes Zuhause mit Kratzbäumen, Bettchen, einem eigenem Futternapf und vielleicht sogar ein Sofa, auf dem ich auch mal liegen darf. Ich kann euch im Gegenzug lautes Schnurren, Schmusen und außergewöhnliche Stunts beim Spielen anbieten! Ohne Katzenfreund will ich auch weiterhin nicht wohnen. Eine coole Socke an meiner Seite wäre optimal. Auch ein gesicherter Balkon oder vielleicht sogar Garten wären toll, sind aber keine Vorraussetzung. Mir wurde gesagt, dass meine Zähne noch entfernt werden müssen, weil mein Zahnfleisch immer wieder entzündet ist – aber dann bin ich bereit um in mein neues Leben zu starten.
