Larett

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 3 months

Country of origin: Hungary The adorable Larett hasn't been on this earth for long yet, and already she's unwanted and ended up in an animal shelter. She was found alone and abandoned on June 17, 2026, in the village of Orgovány. Presumably, someone cowardly dumped her—out of sight, out of mind—because she wasn't chipped and no one had reported her missing. The problem of unwanted litters shows no sign of ending. Larett is eagerly waiting at the shelter for loving people who will accompany her on her further journey through life, support her, and never leave her behind again. Larett is a sweet and friendly little dog who is initially a bit shy and uncertain but quickly warms up and grows fond of humans. She also thoroughly enjoys cuddles, affection, and attention. Of course, she still knows nothing about basic dog manners, and her new two-legged companions will have to patiently teach her everything step by step. Larett is like a rough diamond that still needs polishing to fully develop into a wonderful companion—but she'll surely bring great joy to her future owners, as she has all the qualities needed to be a fantastic family dog. However, her new people should be fully aware of what it means to welcome a young dog into their home and of the long-term responsibility they're taking on. At the right time, Larett would certainly appreciate mental and physical stimulation, appropriately tailored to her age. Larett gets along wonderfully with other dogs and lives with several young pups in a kennel. We’re looking for a loving and understanding home for our dearest Larett—someone patient who’ll welcome her forever. Dog-loving two-legged friends who can give her all the love, care, security, and comfort she’s currently missing. Beautiful walks, playtime, fun, lots of cuddling, a soft, warm sleeping spot, plenty of quiet moments, and dedicated people who’ll walk alongside her on her journey through life and always stand by her side—that’s what Larett truly desires. In return, Larett brings so much love to her new home. Who will show Larett the sunny side of life? Currently, Larett is still too young for spaying or neutering; this procedure will need to be arranged by her new owners when she’s old enough. Her final height is estimated at 43–53 cm, and her final weight at 12–20 kg. As of July 31, 2026, Larett measures 30 cm and weighs 4.4 kg. Larett can travel from around the end of August 2026, once she’s found a permanent home or a foster placement.

About Larett

What life with Larett looks like

Larett is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Larett, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Larett?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Larett on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Larett if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Larett already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Larett isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Larett and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
