As befits a German Shepherd, he is watchful and cautious towards strangers – at first he may be distrustful, but with the right approach he quickly builds a relationship and shows loyalty to his caretaker. It is important that his future family is aware of the needs of such a dog and ready to dedicate time and attention to him. LARUS accepts other dogs, which gives a chance for a successful adoption to a home where there are already four-legged friends. This is a dog that needs activity, mental stimulation and consistent, yet gentle handling. The ideal home for Larus is a place where he will get clear rules and lots of movement – long walks, playtime and work on his confidence and relationships with people. We are looking for a responsible caregiver who has experience with larger dogs or the willingness to learn how to work with them.
