Adopt Latte

Podenco · Unknown · Young · 1 year

Name: Latte Rasse: Podenco Mix Geschlecht: weiblich Größe: ca. 48 cm Alter: 20.06.2024 Gewicht: ca. 12 kg Kinderfreundlich: Ja vertrittig mit fellow animals: Ja vertrittig mit Katzen: muss getestet werden neutered: ja Information des Tierarztes: microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, EU Pass Mittelmeertest: negativ Bemerkungen: APAP. Plasencia Derzeitiger Aufenthaltsort: Spanien Euro inkl. Transport letztes Update: Mai 2025 Latte was found with her siblings in a cardboard box near a school. She is a loving and beautiful female dog. She shows a lot of interest in training and enjoys affection from the caretakers. Latte loves going for walks, discovering the world outside, and sniffing everything. When the kids are around, there’s plenty of action, and by the end of the day, Latte is tired. Unfortunately, this doesn’t happen every day due to a lack of time. Latte doesn’t know what it’s like to live in a house or apartment; our life is what she needs to learn and understand. But she will, she’s curious and smart. Of course, it takes some time. Latte is uncomplicated when it comes to other dogs, but cats should be tested. She would definitely be happy with an existing dog to look up to. However, it’s not a must. We wish her loving and understanding people who can show her how wonderful a dog life can be. Application under www.pfotenhilfe-sachsen. This animal is good with children. Gets along with other dogs. Gets along with other cats.

Plasencia Derzeitiger Aufenthaltsort: Spanien Schutzgebühr: 600 Euro inkl.

About Latte

What life with Latte looks like

Latte is a young adult podenco dog waiting at Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Latte, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Latte?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Latte on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Latte if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Latte already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Latte isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Latte and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
