Lauser *20

Mixed Breed · Female

Country of origin: Romania Breed: Mixed breed Gender: Male, neutered Color: Black-and-white Shoulder height: 55 cm Weight: 23 kg Date of birth: Approx. 2024/2025 Location: 65321 Heidenrod Lauser is searching for great happiness Lauser is waiting for his people in 65321 Heidenrod. Lauser is a wonderful young dog with great potential to become the perfect companion! He is intelligent, playful, gets along well with other dogs, loves cuddling, and is full of energy. At his foster home, he lives in a mixed-dog pack and also keeps the company of cats. Lauser is very attentive and eager to learn. He loves working together with his human, but needs calm guidance and clear, consistent routines. As is typical for a young dog, he still has a few quirks and should continue to solidify the basics of dog training with him. Lauser is not a dog for couch potatoes. He wants to be mentally and physically stimulated and challenged—and he really enjoys it. Of course, he’d also make a great partner for nose work, mantrailing, or dog sports. But even simple walks in nature always excite him. He loves going into the water and regularly spends time in larger dog groups. Lauser needs people who don’t overstimulate him, but instead teach him calmness and proper relaxation. At our foster home, he already accepts this wonderfully within just a few days. At home, he shows himself to be very affectionate and can already stay alone for a few hours without any problems. He gets along well with other dogs. Children aged 10 and older shouldn’t be a problem for him. Lauser is a confident young dog who wants to explore the world. With a bit of training, he’ll become a wonderful companion. We’re looking for active people with an understanding of dogs who can and want to work with a dog in a clear and structured way. You should have a passion and enjoyment for an intelligent dog who also wants to be appropriately challenged. Contact: Trisha Wiegand Mobile: (WhatsApp beforehand) Email: Our dogs are vaccinated (against rabies and with two basic vaccinations), chipped, and equipped with an EU pet passport. They are tested—at our expense (we cover the lab fees)—for common Mediterranean diseases: babesiosis, ehrlichiosis, leishmaniasis, rickettsiosis, filariasis, hepatozoonosis, and anaplasmosis. They are only placed after a positive preliminary check (home visit) against a protection fee and with a protection contract. Important documents: Self-disclosure form for adopters Self-disclosure form for foster homes *The information provided about the dogs (especially those still in Romania) is given without guarantee. The records reflect snapshots only. The dogs were recorded by volunteer helpers to the best of their knowledge and belief. About Lauser *20

What life with Lauser *20 looks like

Lauser *20 is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierhilfe Lebenswert e.V. in Oberwies.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lauser *20, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lauser *20?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierhilfe Lebenswert e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lauser *20 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lauser *20 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierhilfe Lebenswert e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lauser *20 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lauser *20 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierhilfe Lebenswert e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lauser *20 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
