Adopt Lea & Lina

Mixed Breed · Male · 3 months

Adoption assistance for our shelter Bad Wurzach. Lina and Lea are sisters and two and a half years old. They are very attached to each other and are very cuddly once you have earned their trust. They are neutered, microchipped, and tattooed. Lina is the braver one, but she is initially shy around people. Lea is a bit fearful of noise and changes, but she is very clingy. Both are very playful. Lina is the one with some black on her head. They came to us with their 2 brothers at about 3 months old, and their mother was very timid. They are looking for a loving home together with people who have some patience and can give them the time they need to settle in. Contact:

Kontakt:

About Lea & Lina

What life with Lea & Lina looks like

Lea & Lina is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Tierschutzverein Markdorf in Markdorf.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lea & Lina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lea & Lina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Markdorf handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lea & Lina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lea & Lina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Markdorf will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lea & Lina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lea & Lina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Markdorf early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lea & Lina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
