Lea T

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Lea - little puppy girl needs a home 🐾 Four little puppies were abandoned in a cardboard box in Mezőberény. The babies were born on 05.07.2026. Initially, they were understandably shy, but soon they warmed up and showed what friendly and loving puppies they are. Here we would like to introduce you to Lea. Lea is a little female dog and measures about 20 cm (as of September 2026). She is a friendly and sweet little puppy girl who now deserves the chance at a beautiful and protected life.Of course, Lea still has a lot to learn. The dog 1x1, new situations and the big, unknown world are still ahead of her. For this she needs people who meet her with time, patience, love and understanding and give her the security she needs. We are looking for a loving home for Lea, where she can arrive in peace and grow step by step into a happy and confident dog. Who wants to show Lea how beautiful a dog life can be?

About Lea T

What life with Lea T looks like

Lea T is a large puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Hundepfoten Steinfurt e.V. in Nordwalde.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lea T, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lea T?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundepfoten Steinfurt e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lea T on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lea T if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundepfoten Steinfurt e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Lea T already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lea T isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundepfoten Steinfurt e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lea T and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
