Legolas und Eddie

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

Eddie (12 months) and Legolas (11 months) are two young cats who could hardly be more different - but what unites them is their tough start in life as street cats. Totally emaciated and helpless, they arrived at our shelter and have fought their way back into life. But fate has not been kind to them again. Unfortunately, they had to leave their dream home again due to a cat hair allergy. Eddie is a real little rascal: curious, playful, a total wildcat, with a lot of energy and a need for movement. He boldly rushes into life, is not afraid of anything and learns incredibly quickly. Eddie discovers the world with open eyes and brings a smile to everyone with his cheeky nature. Legolas, our delicate beige Siam mix, is the gentle counterpart: sensitive, affectionate and a big cuddler. He loves closeness, seeks contact with humans and enjoys every caress to the fullest. A little soul soother with a guarantee of purring. Together they are a wonderful team: Eddie gives Legolas security and courage, Legolas gives Eddie peace and security. They play, cuddle, discover - and simply belong together. We wish Eddie and Legolas a loving home where they can grow up together, time to play, plenty of space to romp around and lots of affection. Children over 10 years old who know how to treat cats respectfully would be great playmates and cuddle buddies for the two fighting cuddlers. Even cat-experienced dogs will probably soon be wrapped around the furry paws. We are looking for a forever home for both - together. A home in apartment keeping with a large secured balcony or with free access in a traffic-free area. Of course, both are neutered, dewormed and vaccinated. Whoever gives these two heart cats a home gets double love, double purring - and two friends for life. 🐾 💕 Please get in touch and tell us something about you and your home.

About Legolas und Eddie

What life with Legolas und Eddie looks like

Legolas und Eddie is a large young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Katzenhilfe Stuttgart e.V..

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Legolas und Eddie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Legolas und Eddie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Katzenhilfe Stuttgart e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Legolas und Eddie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Legolas und Eddie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Katzenhilfe Stuttgart e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Legolas und Eddie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Legolas und Eddie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Katzenhilfe Stuttgart e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Legolas und Eddie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
