Leia is a 6-year-old female dog who was found as a stray and was in poor condition. She is now healthy and looking for a new home. Despite her age, she is still energetic and independent. She has difficulty jumping and descending stairs. She loves to be petted and watched birds outside. She would prefer a home with a fenced yard or large windows to prevent her from jumping. Ik ben Leia. Mijn geschatte geboortedatum is 2 december 2015, wat maakt dat ik al heel wat jaartjes meedraai. Ik ben als zwerver gevonden en was er niet best aan toe. Inmiddels ben ik weer opgekrabbeld en klaar voor een nieuw huisje. Ondanks dat ik op leeftijd ben, ben ik nog steeds een pittige tante. Ik weet wat ik wil en laat me daarin niet tegenhouden. Toen ik gevonden werd was ik heel zwak en kon ik niet meer lopen. Inmiddels loop ik weer het huis rond, maar helemaal de oude zal ik niet meer worden. Ik heb moeite met springen en dan met name met de afdaling is lastig. Ik vind het heerlijk om geaaid en verwend te worden. Overdag voor het raam naar buiten kijken naar de vogeltjes vind ik ook heerlijk. Ik zou heel graag naar buiten gaan, maar gezien mijn wankele gang lijkt me dat niet verstandig. Als je een afgesloten tuin hebt waaruit ik niet kan ontsnappen, dan zou dat heel fijn zijn. Mocht je geen tuin hebben, dan zou het een pre zijn als je lange ramen hebt waardoor ik naar buiten kan kijken. Ik hoef dan niet te springen en kan toch alles zien. Ik ben dol op mensen, maar niet op mijn soortgenootjes. Zolang ze uit mijn buurt blijven, kan ik ermee leven. Als ze te dichtbij komen laat ik wel weten dat ze dat geen tweede keer moeten doen. Voor wat betreft mijn eten: mijn voorkeur gaat uit naar natvoer. Ik ben niet zo’n fan van droge brokken. Als je de brokken door mijn natvoer mengt, eet ik ze wel op.
