LEMON

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Lemon is an 8-week-old white and black kitten who currently lives in a foster home. He proves every day that he needs very little to be happy - just some attention, gentle hands, and anything that can be turned into a toy. Lemon is at the wonderful stage of his life when the world is one big adventure. He runs, jumps, climbs, discovers, and comes up with new games every day. A paper wrapper? The best catch of the day! A moving foot or hand? That's an invitation to the most exciting hunt! Every day with him is full of laughter and smiles because his childlike joy is contagious. But Lemon isn't just a little troublemaker. He's also an extremely sociable and loving kitten. He likes coming for pets, likes cuddling, and seeks closeness. He's curious about people, trusts them, and participates with great joy in the daily life of the home. This is a cat who wants to be where the action is - observe, help (of course, in his own way, and just be close to his caregiver. Despite his young age, Lemon gets along well among other animals. He lives together with four dogs and three cats in a foster home, so he has learned their language and reads their signals perfectly. He knows when to invite for play and when to respect someone's space. He is open, brave, and very well adjusted to the multi-species family. Lemon knows life at home, he is used to everyday household noises, the presence of people and other animals. This kitten has a lot of positive energy in him, but at the same time, he can be sensitive and gentle. In his little heart, there's really a lot of love that he just waits for to give it to his future family. Looking at him, you can't help but smile. He has childlike curiosity, the courage of an explorer, and tenderness that makes you fall in love with him in no time. This is exactly the kind of cat who brings life, laughter, and a lot of warmth into your home. Every day with Lemon will be full of small, funny adventures and evening purring snuggled up to his human. If you dream of a feline friend who will be your companion for play, daily chores, and lazy evenings on the couch, Lemon is waiting just for you. Give him a home, and he will repay with boundless trust, love, and thousands of happy moments together.

About LEMON

What life with LEMON looks like

LEMON is a small young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting LEMON, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about LEMON?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw LEMON on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt LEMON if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is LEMON already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if LEMON isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know LEMON and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
