Leo Für Wohnungshaltung

Male · Kitten

Details Animal Name Leo Breed Scottish Fold Gender male neutered Date of Birth 2025 Origin Own surrender ID Animal Welfare F200/26 Description The still young Leo is a friendly and open tomcat who likes to snuggle and play with people. When he came to us, he showed self-harming behavior and had to wear a collar for a long time. With other cats, he is conditionally compatible; he was peaceful with a female cat, but with another, it did not work out. We still see him in a group. Perhaps another playful "counterpart" already present in the new home could be helpful. We hope very much that Leo does not have to stay in the animal shelter for too long, as there is a risk that he might harm himself again. Please ask our veterinarian or the animal caretakers if you are interested in the cuddly Leo. Further photos Posted on: 2026-06-15 03:44Last edit: 2026-06-15 03:

About Leo Für Wohnungshaltung

What life with Leo Für Wohnungshaltung looks like

Leo Für Wohnungshaltung is a puppy/kitten cat waiting at Tierschutz Hildesheim und Umgebung e.V. in Hildesheim.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Leo Für Wohnungshaltung, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Leo Für Wohnungshaltung?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutz Hildesheim und Umgebung e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Leo Für Wohnungshaltung on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Leo Für Wohnungshaltung if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutz Hildesheim und Umgebung e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Leo Für Wohnungshaltung already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Leo Für Wohnungshaltung isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutz Hildesheim und Umgebung e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Leo Für Wohnungshaltung and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
