Letty

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 12 years

Letty is looking for her forever home through Safe Rescue in Norwich, Norfolk where she is settled in a foster home. She is a medium sized cross breed lady aged approx 7yrs. Letty would like a quiet and calm home where any children are over 12 yrs old and dog savvy. She is currently living happily alongside the resident cat. She will need to live alongside a confident, calm dog who can show her the way and help her feel safe and secure. Letty is initially timid when meeting new people and can be unsure about approaching them for affection. Having a confident canine companion to lead by example will help her learn that people can be trusted, allowing her to gradually become more comfortable, seek out affection and truly relax in her new home. She walks nicely on a lead and enjoys her daily walks. Please note – Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used. Full details of their rehoming policy are on Letty's home page here. Letty is a dear and gentle dog that now needs a loving home where she can relax and enjoy life to the full. If you would like to give Letty her forever home, please contact Safe Rescue below: Tel/Message: or between 9am-5pm Mon-Fri and 9am-4pm Sat Email: Please mention that you s aw Letty on Oldies Club website.

About Letty

What life with Letty looks like

Letty is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at The Oldies Club in United Kingdom.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Letty, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Letty?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. The Oldies Club handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Letty on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Letty if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — The Oldies Club will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Letty already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Letty isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with The Oldies Club early rather than rehoming privately; they know Letty and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
