Lexi

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 16 months

✨ Everyone, meet Lexi! ✨ Lexi is a beautiful young Golden Labrador, around 16 months old, with the biggest personality to match her beautiful looks. She is sassy, quirky, full of fun, and an absolute character. Lexi throws herself into life with endless enthusiasm, whether that’s playing with her doggy friends, exploring, or simply making everyone around her smile. She plays hard, loves every minute of her day, and lives life to the fullest. Despite all that energy, once the day is done, Lexi settles beautifully. After a busy, adventure-filled day, she’s more than happy to take herself off to bed for a well-earned sleep. Lexi absolutely adores other dogs and gets on brilliantly with them, so we’d love to see her in a home with another playful canine companion. Equally, she’d thrive in a busy, active family where there’s always something going on and plenty of people to share life with. She can happily live with dog-savvy children aged 6 years and over who understand that young Labradors can be bouncy and exuberant. In return, they’ll gain the most loyal, entertaining, and loving companion. If you’re looking for a dog who will keep you smiling every single day, Lexi could be the perfect addition to your family. She really is one in a million. ❤️🐾

About Lexi

What life with Lexi looks like

Lexi is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Almost Home Animal Rescue NI in Belfast.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇮🇪Adopting from Ireland

Irish shelters require a home check (often phone or video) and an adoption contract. Animals are vaccinated, chipped, and registered. Cross-border placements to mainland Europe require the rabies titer test (TRACES system).

Frequently asked

Adopting Lexi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lexi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Almost Home Animal Rescue NI handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lexi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lexi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Almost Home Animal Rescue NI will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lexi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lexi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Almost Home Animal Rescue NI early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lexi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
