Liam

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Liam is a small, enchanting puppy who steals your heart with his sweet face and friendly nature. He quickly wins people over and loves it when someone spends time with him, especially when he gets plenty of cuddles and pets. He's simply a little cuddle bear! Liam is now about 4 months old and currently about 40 cm tall. He was found with his sister Lianna and is now safe in the shelter, waiting for his big break. It's especially sad for young dogs like Liam to grow up in a shelter, where they rarely get cuddles and time with people. Liam is an incredibly gentle, friendly, and open-minded young dog. He's very happy when people come to him, seeks their company, and thoroughly enjoys every pet. He seems to find cuddling very important. He brings all the right qualities to become a loyal and loving companion. Like every puppy, Liam still has a lot to learn. Housebreaking, walking on a leash, car travel, being alone, and the most important basic commands are still new to him. Puberty will also be around the corner and will certainly bring some challenges. His humans should therefore have patience, time, and joy in lovingly and consistently guiding Liam through all these developmental phases and teaching him the dog alphabet. As an adult, Liam will probably become a big dog. We can't say exactly how big, though. There is currently a suspicion that Liam is blind in his right eye. This is being medically clarified. We don't know what breeds are in Liam. Judging by his appearance, he could have Herding Dog parts in him. This means he could become a self-reliant and watchful male. Herding Dogs are often very loyal, attentive, and closely connected to their humans, but can be initially reserved with strangers and like to make their own decisions. They therefore need people who understand these characteristics and give them security and clear, loving guidance. Herding Dogs feel more at home in a rural home. We wish for people who not only see the sweet puppy but are willing to patiently accompany him on his entire journey. People who show him the world, give him security, and give him lots of cuddles. Who will give this dear puppy a forever home? He travels with a microchip, vaccinated, dewormed, and de-fleaed with his EU pet passport. After a positive preliminary check, he can be placed for a deposit. A foster home would also be a great start to his new life. Thank you, Tom W., for your sponsorship. Thanks to you, Liam has an identity and therefore a chance! As of 27.09.2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Liam

What life with Liam looks like

Liam is a extra-large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Liam, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Liam?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Liam on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Liam if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Liam already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Liam isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Liam and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
