Lieschen

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 10 months

Lieschen is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas, medically examined, and has an EU Pass. Are you looking for a loyal companion for your future life? Maybe you've found him in me! I am the super sweet mixed-breed female dog Lieschen (born around 2025 / shoulder height around 44cm). I must confess that I am actually a very friendly mouse, but one must earn my trust, as I am initially very insecure and intimidated by strangers. But as I get to know you better, I thaw out more and reveal my true character piece by piece. I am a joyful lady dog who loves to explore her surroundings, play with her owners, and enjoy long walks. To roam freely through the beautiful nature and explore the environment with my people would please me greatly. I can also imagine accompanying you on various excursions after getting used to my new home. One of my passions is cuddling and snuggling, because once I have built trust with my people, I love being cuddled extensively and also letting them stroke my belly. I get along well with my fellow animals and wouldn't mind having a doggy buddy in my new home. In fact, I would be very happy about that, as I am very oriented towards other dogs. My new owners need to know that I still have a lot to learn, such as house training and basic commands. But they also need to support me in my insecurities and fears and show me that I don't have to be afraid at all. So if you think I could fit into your family, get to know me personally.

Vielleicht hast du ihn in mir gefunden! About Lieschen

What life with Lieschen looks like

Lieschen is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierheim Herzsprung.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lieschen, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lieschen?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Herzsprung handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lieschen on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lieschen if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Herzsprung will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lieschen already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lieschen isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Herzsprung early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lieschen and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
