Adopt Liese (vermittelt)

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Name Liese Born around June 2025 Gender female dog Breed mixed breed Size expected to be at most medium (as of December 25, approximately 35 cm tall) foster home Liese, now Lilly… originally it was "just" a temporary place 😉 We are so happy that the mouse can now stay and bring a little life to the house 😉 The ages mentioned here often refer to estimated values, as we do not always know the exact age. Other information such as size is subjective. She lives on a foster home with 3 adult dogs. After just a few days, she is house-trained, walks well on a leash, and finds snuggling on the sofa fantastic. She is a happy, smart mouse, still a little silly in her head at her age but always within bounds and always approachable. Children can be in the new home. She would be happy with a dog buddy, but would also be content as a single dog. She has no experience with cats. She is really an uncomplicated young female dog ready to seize her new life. Liese and her siblings landed in a large Romanian animal shelter. We do not know anything about her previous life… what we do know is that no dog should have to spend a long time in an animal shelter, especially now that winter is approaching… and we wish that Liese will be seen and can grow up in a safe environment and learn her doggy ABCs. The local volunteer describes the puppy girl as: Puppy-like, playful, compatible with fellow animals. What we do not know… compatibility with others, cats, children, car rides, house training, leash walking… We do not place perfect dogs, but surprises 🙂… and we are looking for people who are willing to take on the adventure of an international dog and give them a second chance at a responsible home. Liese represents 100 young dogs waiting to learn what real life is like. Here you can find Liese's siblings: If interested in this great dog, please fill out the referral form or call us at the phone number provided. There are a few pictures for your viewing. Gets along with other dogs.

About Liese (vermittelt)

What life with Liese (vermittelt) looks like

Liese (vermittelt) is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. in Zornheim.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Liese (vermittelt), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Liese (vermittelt)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Liese (vermittelt) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Liese (vermittelt) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Liese (vermittelt) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Liese (vermittelt) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Liese (vermittelt) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
