Lila Lola lustig Mädchen

Mixed Breed · Female

Lola is a spirited female dog who has had multiple overwhelmed owners since puppyhood, none of whom set boundaries for her. Instead of working through the normal training progression together, she was passed around through eBay, given away, sold, or rescued. The fact that she is an untrained adult female dog on a leash is not something that was disclosed alongside various incidents. The official ban on further placement was also ignored. Her rescue was the last family that, due to health reasons, was unable to properly care for her. There was a family member who, due to Lola’s friendliness with people, did not hesitate to take the risk to bring her to safety. The end result was through the cooperation of multiple authorities across borders. Our organization completed a behavioral assessment with Lola thanks to generous donors, so the shadows of her past can finally be attributed to her previous owners. Now, Lola can start a normal life under certain conditions. She is looking for a home in a quiet living situation, preferably with stable children, but without other pets. For now, she will be in single-holding, as she will be particularly training-intensive in the initial phase. This includes controlled dog-to-dog contact with roughly the same-sized fellow animals, and Lola is not seen as absolutely incompatible. She is very people-oriented, needs to learn to be quiet, and must learn basic dog commands from scratch. Lola has a prey drive, and playtime activities are counterproductive. Giving up toys, fair corrections, or gently nudging at the feeding dish are not a problem. Whether she knows the people or not, all people are greeted with joy. Even the vet visit is done with a cheerful attitude. Her blankets are shredded, but it is possible that she will not do this in her own home – we cannot conclusively assess this. We wish for athletic, active people with a passion for dog training. It is clear that Lola can become a treasure in the right hands – who would like to go on a treasure hunt with our Lola?

DE·Show original

About Lila Lola lustig Mädchen

What life with Lila Lola lustig Mädchen looks like

Lila Lola lustig Mädchen is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierheim Schkortitz in Grimma.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lila Lola lustig Mädchen, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lila Lola lustig Mädchen?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Schkortitz handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lila Lola lustig Mädchen on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lila Lola lustig Mädchen if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Schkortitz will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lila Lola lustig Mädchen already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lila Lola lustig Mädchen isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Schkortitz early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lila Lola lustig Mädchen and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
