adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Lila was found under dramatic circumstances – she gave birth to her three puppies without any protection under the open sky, exposed to the cold and the dangers of the street. Unfortunately, one of her little charges did not survive the difficult start in life. Two little wonders made it, and Lila gave everything to protect them. Fortunately, we found the little family in time and brought Lila and her puppies to our private shelter with Paul in Baia Mare. There, they are now safe, warm, and well cared for. But a shelter cannot replace a home – Lila longs for people who will love her, give her security, and show her the life she deserves. Lila is a young female dog of about 2 years. With a shoulder height of around 45 cm and a weight of about 20 kg, she is medium-sized. Her light fur is complemented by a beautiful color play on her ears, and her light brown eyes radiate gentleness and curiosity. Her charming face immediately captivates and makes everyone feel how loving she is. Lila gets along well with other dogs and also comes into her own with people. However, she is initially a little shy because she is still afraid. With patience, trust, and loving proximity, she shows quickly that she can be a loyal, gentle companion. Lila has a swelling on her head that we will have the vet examine closely. She will receive the necessary medical care to become healthy and pain-free. When Lila moves into her new home, everything will be new to her. We do not know if she ever had her own home – much must be learned. Patience, empathy, and a loving, consistent upbringing are particularly important. A positively working dog training class can help Lila build security and trust and find her way step by step into her new life. With clear structures, understanding, and a lot of love, she will open up and enjoy the closeness to her people. We are looking for a loving and empathetic home for Lila – people who understand her shyness, give her time, and lovingly accompany her. A home where Lila can finally experience warmth, security, and safety. She has so much love to give – it is time for her to receive it. Will you take Lilas love?. This animal can be anxious in unfamiliar situations. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Nimmst du Lilas Liebe an? Stand: 11.01.2026

About Lila

What life with Lila looks like

Lila is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lila, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lila?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lila on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lila if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lila already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lila isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lila and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
