Lilia

Female · Young · 1 year

Lilia... a tiny girl who should never have had to grow up in a shelter. She’s still a puppy—a small, delicate, and incredibly sensitive soul. Every day, she learns about the world around her, but instead of discovering it alongside her family, she explores it from behind shelter bars. Lilia needs time to trust, but once she feels safe, you can see in her eyes an immense longing for human closeness. She so desperately wants to believe that someone will come for her again. We simply can’t reconcile ourselves to the thought that such a tiny pup spends the most beautiful months of her life in a shelter—months that should be filled with play, the warmth of a cozy home bed, and love, not loneliness and endless waiting. Lilia isn’t asking for much. All she needs is a person who’ll show her that she’ll never be alone again—the kind of person who’ll patiently help her explore the world and build her sense of security, one day at a time. Let’s not allow her to grow up behind bars. Let’s give her the childhood she deserves and a home where she’ll always feel loved. Maybe you’re exactly the family she’s been dreaming of?

PL·Show original

Lilia… maleńka dziewczynka, która nigdy nie powinna dorastać w schronisku. To wciąż psie dziecko – drobna, delikatna i bardzo wrażliwa. Każdego dnia uczy się otaczającego świata, ale zamiast poznawać go u boku swojej rodziny, poznaje go zza schroniskowych krat. Kogoś, kto cierpliwie pomoże jej odkrywać świat i każdego dnia będzie budował jej poczucie bezpieczeństwa. Nie pozwólmy, by dorastała za kratami. Podarujmy jej dzieciństwo, na jakie zasługuje, i dom, w którym już zawsze będzie kochana. Może to właśnie Ty jesteś jej wymarzoną rodziną?

About Lilia

What life with Lilia looks like

Lilia is a small young adult dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lilia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lilia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lilia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lilia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lilia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lilia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lilia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
