Linda

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Senior · 20 years

No toys, no grass to sniff, no fun, no petting... just waiting! But waiting for what? Linda doesn't know... but we do! That finally a person will come for this wonderful sweet puppy and take her out of her lethargy and sadness! Linda is a young female dog who should have joy and fun, who should run and learn. But since birth she has only known the dreary shelter life - a shelter so large that the dogs can only be provided with the bare essentials. There simply isn't time to play with Linda or offer her any variety. The dogs in the kennel have to take care of this themselves. There is very little or no human attention, and there is no real home. Both are desperately needed by Linda. She is a beautiful female dog with her sandy colored fur, black guard hairs in her coat, a black stripe on her back, and a very sweet black and sandy colored face with a white spot on her cute muzzle. Her eyes look sad. One wants to open the kennel door and say, "Come on Linda, let's now (gently) discover the world together! There is so much to sniff out there!" Who would do that for her? Linda knows very little. She is never angry or aggressive. She is a loving, contented, adaptable female dog. She respects the leash, because she doesn't know it. What is missing is training with a loving, patient, reliable person who shows her that learning can be fun and a leash is something great because then you can discover the world together. But until that goal, it is still a long way. First, love, security, time to build trust... and a soft dog bed to relax and feel at home in her new home in a quiet environment is essential. Of course, an enclosed garden where she can run freely and explore her surroundings on her own would be a special highlight. A friendly dog would help her settle in, but she can also manage with loving support from her new two-legged friends. © 2006-2024 by Tierschutzverein Europa e.V. - All rights reserved.

© 2006-2024 by Tierschutzverein Europa e.V. - All rights reserved

About Linda

What life with Linda looks like

Linda is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Europa in München.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Linda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Linda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Europa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Linda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Linda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Europa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Linda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Linda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Europa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Linda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
