adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Linea has found a home! Her story: “I will survive.” The moment you hear Linea's story, you think of the song by the same name. Extremely thin, sad, and desperately seeking attention. That's how Linea came into our care. Linea was found on a company farm. The owners wanted to get rid of her desperately. She was not only emaciated but also suffering from parvovirus and babesiosis. But the little fighter survived, conquered the illness, and is now ready for a new life. Linea is currently not showing much fussiness. She appears quiet and just wants to be stroked and be with people. She gets along well with her fellow animals, but whether that also applies to cats, we don't know. She currently measures 49 cm in height and weighs 10 kg, which is of course still very little. Linea will continue to grow, but is likely to remain of medium size. We assume that Linea will become more active once she recovers from the hardships of her illness and past. After all, at 7 months old, she is almost still a baby. Linea, is a true "purebred stray," so it's hard to say what traits she possesses. It's time for her to find people who can discover these traits together with her and support her in developing them. For Linea, we are looking for patient and empathetic people who can gently take her by the paw and show her how wonderful a dog life can be. One or two mishaps shouldn't be held against her, and Linea should always be guided with a positive training style. She is looking forward to her new life with nature walks, cuddle sessions, and even a visit to dog training classes. Puppies should not be left alone as much as possible in the first year of life. Additionally, the more demanding pubertal phase is approaching. The hormone chaos will turn the lives of the little rascals and their owners upside down. They "forget" much of what they have learned, and their ears are on full alert. Therefore, it is especially important to consistently but lovingly train them during this phase. But it is only a phase, and with enough humor, you will also overcome it together. Due to her illness, which left Linea very weakened, she is not yet spayed, even though it is common at 7 months to prevent unwanted breeding. That's why Linea is traveling to her new home "only" vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Of course, she has her EU pet passport with her. She would also be happy to go to a foster home. Thank you, Stefanie M.! You gave Linea her beautiful name and paved the way to a better future. As of: 26.05.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Linea hat ihr Zuhause gefunden! Ihre Geschichte: „I will survive“. So kam Linea in unsere Obhut. Stand: 26.05.2025

About Linea

What life with Linea looks like

Linea is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Linea, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Linea?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Linea on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Linea if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Linea already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Linea isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Linea and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
