Lino (m)

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

LINO was born in late 2025 and currently lives in the private animal shelter of our partner association ADOR in Botoșani, Romania. Together with his brother, LINO arrived at the animal shelter as a tiny puppy. The two have grown up together there and were always a well-coordinated team. While his brother was the more courageous of the two from the start, LINO always oriented himself towards him and sought safety in his presence. Now, the great happiness awaits his brother: he will soon travel to Germany and move into his own home. For LINO, this means that he will have to stay behind. Of course, not alone, because other dogs are there – but without his most important support by his side. Our German animal welfare colleagues have met LINO on-site. He is a friendly, cheerful puppy who is initially cautious and a bit shy around people. He lets his caretakers handle and pet him without any problems, but the closeness to people is still not something he takes for granted. He does not demand attention but observes first and wants to make sure nothing happens to him. LINO is still so young. He has every chance to build trust and discover how beautiful a dog life by his people's side can be. For that, he needs people who give him time to adjust at his own pace and understand that the first weeks for him are all about: learning, trust, and safety. LINO is expected to reach a shoulder height of approximately 45 cm when fully grown. He is ready to travel and could already pack his suitcase. For LINO, we wish for a loving home with patient people. A confident only dog would certainly be a great help for him, as he likes to orient himself towards other dogs. However, this is not a prerequisite. Who will give this gentle puppy the chance to finally adjust and experience what it feels like to have his own home? LINO is waiting for his people. LINO has been neutered for travel arrangements, is multi-vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and naturally in possession of an EU passport. Contact: LINO will be rehomed through Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. – with the association, of course, fulfilling the §11 (Animal Welfare Act). Even after adoption, we will continue to support you – for both human and animal. LINO is traveling to Germany and will arrive in 91278 Pottenstein, where he is also to be picked up. There is a secured premises available.

DE·Show original

About Lino (m)

What life with Lino (m) looks like

Lino (m) is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. in Nürnberg.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lino (m), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lino (m)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lino (m) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lino (m) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lino (m) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lino (m) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lino (m) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
