Linox *20

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy

Linox is a six-year-old male mixed breed dog from Romania. He stands about 55 cm tall and has a tricolor coat. Linox was born around 2014/2015 and has been living in a shelter since then. One of his unique characteristics is that he was born without a tail. Linox is a cautious senior dog who has learned to protect himself over the years, but deep down, he longs for love, security, and a home where he can finally feel safe and relaxed. He gets along well with other dogs and has the calm demeanor of an older dog who doesn't expect much from life anymore. All he needs is a little patience, understanding, and love. Linox has been in the shelter for six long years, waiting for his forever home. We hope that somewhere out there, a loving family will come along to show him that the best years of his life are still ahead of him. He doesn't deserve to spend any more time in the shelter without knowing what it feels like to be part of a family. Please note that Linox is vaccinated against rabies and has received two rounds of basic immunization shots. He also has a microchip and an EU pet passport. We cover the costs for testing him for common Mediterranean diseases such as babesiosis, ehrlichiosis, leishmaniasis, rickettsia, filariae, hepatozoonosis, and anaplasmosis. However, we require a positive pre-test (home visit) before adoption at a fee with a contract. Important documents: Self-report for adopters, self-report for foster homes

About Linox *20

What life with Linox *20 looks like

Linox *20 is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierhilfe Lebenswert e.V. in Oberwies.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Linox *20, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Linox *20?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierhilfe Lebenswert e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Linox *20 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Linox *20 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierhilfe Lebenswert e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Linox *20 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Linox *20 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierhilfe Lebenswert e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Linox *20 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
