Adopt Lisa

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Lisa can travel directly to your final destination! Her story: Zalau, Romania. Shockingly in love with our Lisa? Believe us, we can understand that very well, because Lisa is a super dog mom. It's unimaginable that she was abandoned with her babies by the roadside. Now the little dog family is safe. Lisa lovingly cares for her 5 puppies. And that can be quite exhausting. When her children are old enough, Lisa searches for her own family with which she can experience adventures together, discover the whole world together, and simply snuggle and lie around. But she is just as happy to join in on running, playing, or even sports, and will surely be a faithful companion that you won't want to be without. Lisa is 2 years old and with her 33 cm and just 6 kg, she belongs to the small dogs. Due to her mixed-breed nature, a precise breed cannot be determined for her. For her, we are looking for people who appreciate a mixed breed and can challenge and guide her accordingly. In addition to good physical exercise, head and mental work should be on the daily program. A positively reinforcing training style and a consistent and loving handling are assumed. A visit to a positively working dog training class can only be advantageous. She is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas, and spayed, and is ready for her new home. She will be adopted for an adoption fee of 450 Euro and only after a positive check. With our wonderful Lisa by your side, you will surely have a lot of fun. Many thanks to Daniela J., who gave Lisa her name.

Schockverliebt in unsere Lisa?

About Lisa

What life with Lisa looks like

Lisa is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lisa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lisa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lisa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lisa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lisa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lisa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lisa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
