adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Liv has found her luck! Her story: The 6 siblings Norisor, Pippina, Yannik, Liv, Casper, and Toby had a tough start in life. They were not well-cared for when they came into the world, but were found alone, without their mother, and completely helpless about 30 km away from Bistrita on a field. Now they are waiting to finally learn what a real family life is like. Liv is our adorable whirlwind. With her dark face, light chest, and sweet curly ears, she makes everyone's heart skip a beat. She is alert, friendly, and playful. Liv enjoys every kind of affection. The little mouse loves playing with her siblings, running wild in the yard, or being petted for a long time. She gets along well with other dogs and also finds people wonderful. It makes no difference to her whether they are big, small, or very small people. Our Liv also gets along well with cats. Our mouse is always ready to discover new things and is already looking forward to experiencing many adventures with her new family. Her new primary caregiver will surely quickly realize what a great addition Liv is to the family. She is currently about 3.5 months old and is expected to grow to a medium size. Her new family should also be aware that Liv still doesn't know what life in a loving family is like. She still needs to learn the whole puppy ABC and puberty is still ahead of her. Here, she needs people who can approach her with love and patience, and may also need to attend some positive dog training classes and be forgiven for any mishaps. Leash walking, house training, and being left alone are still foreign concepts to her. During puberty, she will likely test boundaries and perhaps forget some things she has learned. But once this phase is overcome, Liv will definitely become a great lifelong partner. We hope so much that she can now experience the beautiful sides of life. Liv is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She brings an EU pet passport with her and can be adopted after a positive foster home trial. We would also be very happy to have a foster home for the sweet mouse! Who will give her a loving forever home? Many thanks to Fam. Kaiser! You gave Liv her name. Date: 13.05.

Vielen Dank an Fam. Kaiser! Ihr habt Liv ihren Namen geschenkt. About Liv

What life with Liv looks like

Liv is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Liv, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Liv?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Liv on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Liv if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Liv already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Liv isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Liv and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
