Liza (Ліза)

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

She survived Kramatorsk, evacuation, and the loss of her home… And now the street awaits her once again. War brings terrible changes not only to the lives of people but also to tails. This black-and-white hen was evacuated from Kramatorsk, saving her from the war. She lost her home, her usual life, and everything that was familiar to her. Now, the people who rescued her are forced to go further. And the hen will remain on the street after everything she has already had to endure. She is spayed and trained to use a litter box. Home-loving, very tactile, a good girl who shouldn’t have to search for food among trash, hide from danger, and fight for survival every day. Very much wants her story to end not with another tragedy but with joy. After war, fear, and uncertainty, she finally found a place where she will be loved and cared for. Give this hen a chance to never know hunger, cold, and street danger. Maybe, just maybe, your home will be the place where she can finally breathe and feel like a cherished little kitty in safety.

About Liza (Ліза)

What life with Liza (Ліза) looks like

Liza (Ліза) is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Happy Paw Kyiv in Ukraine.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇺🇦Adopting from Ukraine

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Liza (Ліза), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Liza (Ліза)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Happy Paw Kyiv handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Liza (Ліза) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Liza (Ліза) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Happy Paw Kyiv will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Liza (Ліза) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Liza (Ліза) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Happy Paw Kyiv early rather than rehoming privately; they know Liza (Ліза) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (UK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
