Adopt Liza (Ліза)

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 11 years

Liza was found several months ago on the street, in a neglected condition - her fur was matted into large clumps, they were crawling, leaving bare skin, there were many fleas. We treated the cat for parasites, shaved her, and now she is a real beauty! Liza is already old, about 9-10 years old, calm and unobtrusive.

About Liza (Ліза)

What life with Liza (Ліза) looks like

Liza (Ліза) is a senior mixed breed cat waiting at Happy Paw Kirovohrad in Ukraine.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇺🇦Adopting from Ukraine

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Liza (Ліза), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Liza (Ліза)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Happy Paw Kirovohrad handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Liza (Ліза) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Liza (Ліза) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Happy Paw Kirovohrad will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Liza (Ліза) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Liza (Ліза) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Happy Paw Kirovohrad early rather than rehoming privately; they know Liza (Ліза) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (UK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
