Lobi

Male

Lobi arrived at our shelter from the dog pound completely terrified. At first, he was very withdrawn, spending the day in a corner and avoiding contact, feeling unsafe around people. With time, a lot of patience, and daily work, Lobi has gradually progressed. He has started to trust, approaching with curiosity and taking small steps forward. Anything helps, especially a treat or some yummy food, which encourages him to keep gaining confidence. He now allows us to put the leash on him without a problem and each time he goes for a walk a little more calmly. He is a very good and noble little dog, and we are sure that behind those fears lies a very affectionate companion. He is sociable with other dogs, and living with other puppies helps him feel more secure. Lobi needs a patient and understanding family that will give him the time he needs to adapt and teach him that the world also has beautiful things to enjoy. Are you willing to give Lobi the chance to finally trust?

ES·Show original

About Lobi

What life with Lobi looks like

Lobi is a adult dog waiting at Protectora Malaga in Málaga.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lobi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lobi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Protectora Malaga handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lobi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lobi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Protectora Malaga will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lobi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lobi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Protectora Malaga early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lobi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
