Lockie

Mixed Breed Cat · Male · Kitten · 2 months

Hi... we’re Blossom and Lockie! We both came into NAWT’s care separately, but it didn’t take long for us to become the very best of friends. Blossom arrived with her sisters, while Lockie came in on his own. Luckily, Lockie took Blossom under his wing straight away, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. We’re quite different in personality, but that’s what makes us such a lovely pair. Lockie is confident, brave, and always the first to investigate something new. He’s full of character, loves to play, and will almost certainly keep you laughing with his silly antics.Blossom is a little more reserved at first and likes to take her time getting to know new people and places. Once she feels safe, though, she blossoms into the sweetest, most affectionate little girl who loves a fuss and will happily snuggle up beside you.We adore playing together, chasing toys, and curling up next to each other for a nap. Our bond is incredibly special, so we’re looking for a home where we can stay together. We’ve been living in foster with dogs, so we may be able to live with a calm, cat-friendly dog following careful introductions. We’d love a patient home that will give Blossom the time she needs to build her confidence while enjoying all the fun and laughter that Lockie brings. If you’re looking for two kittens who perfectly balance confidence with sweetness, and who share a truly special friendship... we might just be your perfect match. About Lockie

What life with Lockie looks like

Lockie is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at National Animal Welfare Trust in Watford.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lockie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lockie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. National Animal Welfare Trust handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lockie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lockie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — National Animal Welfare Trust will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lockie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lockie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with National Animal Welfare Trust early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lockie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
