Adopt Logo

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

Logo and Nero took over from another animal shelter that was severely overcrowded with dogs. To help them, they were taken in by Melampo. The two had already lived together in the same kennel beforehand and are closely bonded. Both dogs were tested negative for Mediterranean diseases at the vet. Logo and Nero are active, affectionate, and very people-oriented dogs. They show themselves to be friendly and trusting towards the volunteer helpers. They respond well to recalls and already follow some commands. They also get along well with other dogs. They handle car rides without any problems. Both have a very good character. They enjoy cuddles and the closeness to humans. Both are friendly and more submissive in contact with people. The two are very similar in nature, but there are also small differences: Logo is a bit more active and appears more self-assured overall, while Nero is more calm and closely oriented towards Logo. We hope that the right people will soon step forward to give both Logo and Nero the time they need to settle into their new environment. This requires patience and empathy, but it will definitely be worth it, as we are convinced that both dogs will develop into active and loving companions. All the best to you, dear ones!.

About Logo

What life with Logo looks like

Logo is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Melampo in Melampo.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Logo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Logo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Melampo handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Logo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Logo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Melampo will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Logo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Logo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Melampo early rather than rehoming privately; they know Logo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
