Loki arrived at our animal shelter in late March as a found kitten. The tomcat was stuck high up in a tree branch and the fire department had to rescue him. Fortunately, this experience did not leave any lasting damage on the approximately 5-year-old tomcat. From the start, Loki shows some insecurity and mistrust towards us humans, not quite sure what to make of us; he occasionally comes for some snuggles but quickly retreats and signals that he wants his space. As his demeanor and body language are somewhat ambiguous, we would like to place Loki in the hands of cat-experienced owners. During the castration, the vet discovered an abscess in his mouth, which was treated, yet he still shows some discomfort, as if something is bothering him. Given that everything has been cleared by the vet, we assume that his behavior might be stress-related. Loki seems to be a Scottish Fold mix, so special attention should also be paid to his ears, which have not shown any clinical issues so far. We wish for Loki a home that is understanding and patient, one that can accommodate his special nature, where he can live as a single prince, and where he will be given the opportunity for a trial outdoor time after an adjustment period. Therefore, the behavior in a family setting may differ from the descriptions provided. This cat needs outdoor access.

Loki kam Ende März als Fundkatze in unser Tierheim. Der Kater steckte hoch oben auf einem Baum in einer Astgabel fest und die Feuerwehr musste ihn befreien. Von diesem Erlebnis trug der circa 5-jährige Kater zum Glück keine bleibenden Schäden davon.Loki zeigt sich von Beginn an bei uns etwas unsicher und misstrauisch, weiß noch nicht so recht, was er von uns Menschen halten soll; kommt gelegentlich zum Schmusen, doch zieht sich auch schnell wieder zurück und gibt zu verstehen, dass er seine Ruhe möchte. Da sein Wesen und seiner Körpersprache etwas uneindeutig sind, würden wir Loki gerne in katzenerfahrene Hände wissen. Bei der Kastration stellte der Tierarzt einen Abzess im Mäulchen fest, welcher behandelt wurde, dennoch zeigt er nach wie vor ein Katschen, als würde ihn etwas stören. Da tierärztlich alles abgeklärt wurde, gehen wir von einer Verhaltensauffälligkeit aus, die vielleicht auch stressbedingt von ihm gezeigt wird. Loki scheint ein Scottish Fold Mix zu sein, weswegen im neuen Zuhause besonderes Augenmerk auch auf die Ohren gelegt werden sollte, welche jedoch bisher ebenfalls klinisch unauffällig waren.Wir wünschen uns für Loki ein verständnisvolles und geduldiges Zuhause, welches auf sein besonderes Wesen einzugehen weiß, wo er als Einzelprinz leben darf und wo ihm nach einer Eingewöhnungszeit die Möglichkeit auf Freigang gewährt wird.
