Lola

Female · Young · 1 year

April 25, 2026: During our team project tour, we not only got to meet wonderful partners but also this special Fellnase. The lovely Lola is developing wonderfully – friendly, open, and full of trust. Grateful for every small affection and with open hearts, she eagerly awaits her own family to finally arrive and find a loving home. May 29, 2026: Lola traveled to her German foster home. June 4, 2026: Lola is a wonderfully friendly and very people-oriented female dog who conquers the lives of her two-legged companions with the storm. At home, she already shows her best side: She is absolutely house-trained and sleeps through the night quietly, so that peaceful evenings and quiet nights are not in the way. At the same time, the charming female dog brings a healthy portion of joy and power. Since she likes to let her energy out, children in her new home should ideally be a bit older and more stable. Her absolute passion is movement in the fresh air. Lola loves to run wild in the garden and enjoys long, thorough walks to the fullest. When dealing with fellow animals, she is very social and accommodating: She gets along well with the dogs living in the household and takes every opportunity to play in the greenery. Although she clearly enjoys playing and running with other dogs, she would also have nothing against a single spot where she can have all of her people's attention to herself. Outdoors, Lola proves to be an agreeably uncomplicated companion. Whether zooming cyclists, pedestrians, or everyday traffic – nothing brings the laid-back female dog out of her calm so quickly. Although she goes on enthusiastic sniffing tours, she never loses her connection to her people and quickly and attentively orientates herself outdoors to her primary caregiver. All around, Lola is a faithful and great companion for active people. The only thing missing for her happiness is a shared visit to dog training classes, because the little puppy class is something she still wants to learn. If you are looking for a faithful soul who radiates both calm and joy in movement, you will find your lifelong partner in Lola. If you are currently on the lookout for a new fellnasig family member and are aware that adoption means not only a lot of joy but also work and great responsibility, then we look forward to your message. We provide nationwide placements.

About Lola

What life with Lola looks like

Lola is a large young adult dog waiting at ProTier e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lola?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ProTier e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lola if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ProTier e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lola isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ProTier e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
