Adopt Priscilla

Female · Young · 3 years

October 3, 2022: Peace and Priscilla have developed wonderfully and unfortunately still await their chance to be adopted into loving families. Video link: April 9, 2023: During our project trip at the end of March 2023, we were also able to visit Priscilla and Peace, who have since grown into beautiful puppies. Unfortunately, the two still await their chance for a new, better life. We would be very happy if they receive their ticket to their dream home soon. Video link: November 2024: In mid-October 2024, we were on team tour again. Over four days, we were accompanied by engaged team members who wanted to meet or see our partners and dogs and cats. One of our stops was Sandra's pension in Sassari, where, in addition to already known animals, a few new arrivals had also joined. It was also a great concern for us to see the dogs who had been in the pension for a longer time and were still waiting for a home. Among these dogs is unfortunately also the dear female dog Priscilla, who now shares the enclosure with the male dog Brando. He is one of the new arrivals and will also be rehomed through proTier e.V. Priscilla was overjoyed with the visit and the human affection. She belongs to the many "white" dogs in our care who are often overlooked. Now we would like to once again urge you to consider Priscilla. It would be a dream to find a foster home or even a home for the beautiful one with the exceptionally beautiful eyes. It will certainly be a piece of work to get her accustomed to a household life, but we are sure that she can become a wonderful family dog. If you would like to facilitate Priscilla's travel arrangements to Germany and help her on her way to a happy life, we look forward to your message. May 1, 2026: Priscilla was able to travel to her German foster home. We provide nationwide placement.

About Priscilla

What life with Priscilla looks like

Priscilla is a large young adult dog waiting at ProTier e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Priscilla, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Priscilla?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ProTier e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Priscilla on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Priscilla if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ProTier e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Priscilla already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Priscilla isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ProTier e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Priscilla and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
