Lola is a medium-sized spayed female dog who has unfortunately experienced a lot in her life. The 4-year-old poodle was born in a Roma neighborhood in Hungary and grew up on the streets there. She belonged to no one and had to fend for herself. At that time, she still had both eyes. What happened to her afterwards is unknown. At some point this year, she ended up in a Hungarian euthanasia station, where we fortunately discovered her. Our local animal welfare colleagues immediately pulled Lola out of there. What happened to her missing left eye remains her secret. Currently, she is undergoing veterinary treatment: the eye is being medically treated and surgically closed. Lola will be allowed to travel to Germany with us as early as September 26th. Despite her difficult past, Lola is an incredibly loving, tolerant, and people-oriented dog girl. She has retained her wonderful character and copes very well with her visual impairment. She has learned to discover the world with only one eye and is hardly limited by it. We are sure that she will be a faithful and great family companion. Lola is about 40 cm tall and weighs about 14 kg. We are now looking for a loving home for this brave heart. Lola ist eine mittelgroße, kastrierte Hündin, die in ihrem Leben leider schon viel durchmachen musste. Die 4 Jahre alte Fellnase wurde in einem Romaviertel in Ungarn geboren und wuchs dort auf der Straße auf. Sie gehörte niemandem und musste sich alleine durchschlagen. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt hatte sie noch beide Augen. Was ihr danach zugestoßen ist, wissen wir nicht. Irgendwann in diesem Jahr landete sie in einer ungarischen Tötungsstation, wo wir sie zum Glück entdeckten. Unsere Tierschutzkollegen vor Ort haben Lola sofort dort rausgeholt. Was mit ihrem fehlenden, linken Auge passiert ist, bleibt ihr Geheimnis. Aktuell befindet sie sich in tierärztlicher Behandlung: Das Auge wird medizinisch versorgt und operativ verschlossen. Bereits am 26. September darf Lola mit uns nach Deutschland reisen. Trotz ihrer schweren Vergangenheit ist Lola ein unglaublich liebes, verträgliches und menschenbezogenes Hundemädchen. Sie hat sich ihren wunderbaren Charakter bewahrt und kommt mit der Sehbehinderung bestens zurecht. Sie hat gelernt, die Welt mit nur einem Auge zu entdecken, und ist dadurch kaum eingeschränkt.
