Lola

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy

Lola is looking for her forever humans. The sweet Lola has been living in our Bulgarian shelter for a short time. But she would rather exchange this place for a warm basket with loving humans right away. A foster home would also be a wonderful opportunity for the little mouse. Lola shows herself to be a cheerful, curious and playful puppy. She meets people openly and gets along very well with dog friends. She plays joyfully with the other puppies and enjoys these moments. It would be even better for Lola to discover her young life together with her own humans - people who love her, give her security, and share many beautiful moments with her. She wants to belong, feel safe and grow close to her family. Of course, Lola still needs to learn the basics of being a dog. House training, being alone, car rides, and all the things that contribute to a relaxed coexistence are new to her. With patience, loving consistency, structure and positive reinforcement, she will certainly learn quickly and develop into a wonderful companion. Anyone who is ready to accompany a puppy as it grows and also master small challenges with love is welcome to contact the responsible adoption officer. Lola is waiting to be discovered by her heart's humans. Adopting a shelter dog always means taking on a special responsibility and can also become a challenge. The dogs bring along a backpack of past experiences or unlearned situations and need time to adjust to their new life. If you have a serious interest in adopting Lola, please contact the responsible adoption officer of SALVA Dog Help. We would also be very happy about the provision of a foster home.

About Lola

What life with Lola looks like

Lola is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lola?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lola if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lola isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
