Lola

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 5 months

adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Lola has found its own home! Her story: The lovely Lola is a sweet and cuddly 4 1/2 month old. We estimate she will grow to be a medium-sized dog. She is playfully and alert like a puppy and loves to snuggle with us humans. She is also super compatible with her fellow animals. The cat in the current foster home does not bother Lola at all. From her appearance, it can be assumed that Lola is a Cão da Serra de Aires /Mix. A herding dog mix. When fully grown, Lola will be a medium-sized female dog with a rather elongated body. The shoulder height is approximately 52 to 55 cm. The weight is usually around 27 kg for fully grown dogs. Lola has a long coat. The structure is smooth to slightly wavy. Lola's fur color is a mix of yellow, gray, and brown. Also, Lola's character is super nice, her playful nature and friendliness. Combined with a loving nature, her outgoing personality, and her tendency to snuggle. Lola is open to each puppy-like stage. She would make a great family dog or even a companion dog. Soon, Lola will enter puberty. In which she will test her owners and her limits. She needs someone who stands by her during this hormone chaos and provides her with the necessary understanding and support so that she can grow into a great dog lady. Positive reinforcement training and loving consequences will help her get through this time well and emerge as a strong team. Who will give Lola their heart and a loving home? Lola will be microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas in her new home. Of course, she will also bring her EU pet passport. For an adoption fee of 500 Euro and after a positive Sunny W. has given Lola her name. As of: 03.06.

About Lola

What life with Lola looks like

Lola is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lola?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lola if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lola isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
