Lola (w)

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Lola, a tiny and beautiful female dog, is waiting in Romania for people who can show her the joys of life as a dog. Born in 2023, this petite pooch stands just 27 cm tall. She currently resides at ADOR's private shelter in Botoșani. Lola arrived at the shelter with her son several months ago. Unfortunately, we know little about her past life; it is likely that her previous owner could no longer care for them due to age-related issues. Like many dogs in Romania, Lola lost her home and found refuge at the shelter. Due to her small size, she lives in the puppy group where she is safely housed. She gets along well with the puppies and smaller dogs there. Lola is a sweet, gentle dog who enjoys being petted and appreciates any friendly attention. However, it's clear that the loud and hectic shelter environment affects her. The constant barking, unrest, and hustle and bustle visibly stress her out. We suspect she previously led a quieter life and is therefore struggling with the stress of the shelter. Her close bond with her son also shows how loving and caring Lola is. While the young male is curious and carefree, Lola observes things cautiously at first. She doesn't need pressure but people with patience and understanding who give her time to adjust at her own pace. We can also imagine a harmonious coexistence with cats. A cat test can be conducted on site at any time. For the little mouse, we wish for a loving home, preferably in a quieter environment where she can finally arrive, relax, and experience the good things in life. LOLA is spayed, vaccinated multiple times, dewormed, microchipped, and of course has an EU passport. Contact: LOLA will be placed through Tiernothilfe e.V. Casa Katharina - with pre-control and a protection contract. The association naturally complies with §11 (Animal Welfare Act). We will continue to support you after adoption - for both humans and animals. LOLA travels to Germany and arrives in Pottenstein, where she would like to be picked up. Secure grounds are available there.

About Lola (w)

What life with Lola (w) looks like

Lola (w) is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. in Nürnberg.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lola (w), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lola (w)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lola (w) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lola (w) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lola (w) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lola (w) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lola (w) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
