Lole &#8211

Mixed Breed · Female

Lole now lives in 72108 Rottenburg. All the best, Lole. Heartfelt thanks, Frau L.-S. Lole is a tender and affectionate Breton female dog on the lookout for a caring home. Lole is a medium-sized female dog with the typically gentle nature of the Breton breed and a heart of gold. She loves spending time with people and is very clingy. Our princess gets along well with other calm dogs, but she is more reserved around strangers and needs places to retreat to. Once one has won Lole’s heart, one has in the affectionate girl a real snuggle ball and warm water bottle for cold winter evenings. Lole has tested positive for leishmaniasis and is currently being treated with leishmanizid. Leishmaniasis is a parasitic disease transmitted by sandflies. The disease is not curable, but with the right care and treatment, Lole can lead a happy and fulfilling life, and in the best case, she will never have to endure another crisis. As the course of the disease cannot be predicted, the condition requires regular veterinary check-ups and consistent medication if symptoms arise. Many of our leishmaniasis foster dogs can lead a carefree life after a first leishmanizid therapy and a several-month-long leishmanistatic medication, which only differs from other fun dog lives by the biannual blood controls. Leishmaniasis is a sword of Damocles, but to be honest, there are no guarantees of health or safety in any life—and from the start, it is known what enemy the three-year-old beauty fights against. Lole has health challenges, but they do not define her. What makes her is her zest for life, her tenderness, her reserved curiosity that grows every day, her love and loyalty to the people she knows. Lole waits demurely, hoping someone will see her and give her a beautiful, peaceful home.

Lole lebt jetzt in 72108 Rottenburg. Alles Gute, Lole. Herzlichen Dank, Frau L.-S.

About Lole &#8211

What life with Lole &#8211 looks like

Lole &#8211 is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. in Gernsbach.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lole &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lole &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lole &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lole &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lole &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lole &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lole &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
